Follow your passion

When choosing a career, your decision shouldn’t be based solely on money. Sure, pay rate will most likely be a factor, as will job availability, but you also need to take into consideration what you like to do. What appeals to you? What will make you happy? If you pick a career where you’ll earn top bucks but that you’ll hate you’ll be unhappy. So think about your passions, what you love, and build a career around that.

Creating

Do you love creating things? Whether it’s writing, painting or jewelry, you can take that passion for creating and run with it. Maybe take a course in writing for magazines or online. Or you can apprentice with a painter. Start out selling your jewelry local and branch out. The point is, find a career where you’ll be able to tap into your creativity and you’ll be happy.

Helping

If you are your happiest when you’re helping others, then look into careers where you will get to do that full-time. If you love kids then consider studying to be a teacher. If you were a candy-striper when you were younger, then explore a career in the medical field. You could look into medical assistant schools in your area. Or you could work in a senior’s residence. Choose a career where the majority of the time you are helping others and you’ll find yourself loving your work.

Organizing

Do you plan all your schools fund-raising events? Are you automatically the one to organize all your family get-togethers? If this is the case then explore careers where organizing is your main focus. Maybe event planning is the ticket for you. Or you could study to be an office manager.

We’re all passionate about something. Discover your passion and turn it into a career. Not only will you be happy, but you’ll be naturally talented at it. A perfect combination for success.
